Albany Business Review announces 18th class of 40 Under 40 recipients

Fingerpaint is pleased to announce that Jamey Hardesty has been named one of the Albany Business Review’s 40 Under 40 award recipients for his commitment to business growth and professional excellence in the community.

“Jamey’s background in public health and passion for science influences everything he does at Fingerpaint. His proactive approach to problem-solving, devotion to teamwork, and the energy that he brings to his work has made him a valued member of the Fingerpaint family,” said Ed Mitzen, Fingerpaint founder. “He takes a hands-on, head-first approach and continually strives to produce quality work, attributes that have endeared him to both coworkers and clients alike.”

Jamey is a member of the medical strategy team at Fingerpaint, and acts as the office’s resident epidemiologist, having spent time in China and Africa, where he researched HIV and the measles virus. He’s a lover of technology and innovation and is constantly looking for unique strategies to help grow the vision of Fingerpaint’s pharma and biomedical clients.

As an example of his commitment to advancing public health, Jamey played an instrumental role in designing and developing a mobile app for the FDA concerning the critical issue of opioid overdoses that affects many communities, including our own here in upstate New York. His expertise in the area of medical technology isn’t limited to Fingerpaint, however. Jamey has also established himself as somewhat of a local authority on the topic, having given several talks to tech audiences in and around Saratoga Springs. In his free time, Jamey travels the world, scuba diving and hiking. He’s also our resident coffee and beer guru, so if you’re looking for the right coffee-infused beer, he’s your guy.

The Albany Business Review’s 40 Under 40 program recognizes only 40 leaders from about 400 nominations who demonstrate business acumen, leadership skills, and community involvement. They set the pace of the local business landscape now and for the future.

This year’s honorees will be celebrated at a reception at the Albany Capital Center on May 12, 2017.
