Engagement will reach American Heart Association chapters across the country
SARATOGA SPRINGS, N.Y. – Fingerpaint, a national, full-service health and wellness marketing agency, is excited to announce a 2020 partnership with the American Heart Association that will create opportunities for year-round, nationwide engagement with Fingerpaint’s staff. The partnership will provide a monetary donation to the AHA chapters in each community surrounding Fingerpaint offices in New York, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, and Arizona.
Fingerpaint has been a supporter of the American Heart Association since 2013, but as the company continues to grow and add to its staff, it is expanding opportunities to engage with healthcare and research organizations in more communities outside of its headquarters in Saratoga Springs. Cardiovascular health has been on the minds of several Fingerpainters over the years, as they’ve shared their personal connections to the cause when connecting with head of philanthropy, Bo Goliber.
“We’re so fortunate to be able to connect our staff to causes that have personal meaning to them, and it’s been exciting to connect with other AHA chapters in all of our offices’ communities,” said Goliber.
To kick off American Heart Month, Fingerpaint offices honored National Wear Red Day on February 7, 2020. In addition, during the month of February, each Fingerpaint office will have a visit from their local American Heart Association chapter to demonstrate hands-only CPR and offer some heart-healthy education.
“Bringing the education and knowledge to our staff in an accessible way is really important. It keeps us learning and connected with our community partners,” said Goliber.
The financial sponsorship will be used to support events in each office’s community that will span throughout the year, including Go Red for Women, STEM Goes Red, and Heart Ball.
During the month of February, Fingerpaint is sharing a four-part series written by Alexis Kern, a creative in its Phoenix office, about her experience with myocarditis, a rare cardiovascular disease. In the series, she not only brings awareness to the condition, but she also explains how her work in the healthcare industry impacted her as a patient and how being a patient influences her work now.
“Heart health is so important,” said Kern. “To be able to share just a little bit of my story to help raise awareness for both rare diseases and heart health is such an honor, and one that I am super proud of.”
