Program Manager


  • Presents complex data or messages in clear, succinct, compelling manner (internal/external)
  • Complex problem-solver; works with team leadership to achieve resolution
  • Leads internal and external meetings and drives teams to resolutions, conclusions, action, and outcomes
  • Appropriately manages resources; escalates issues to appropriate department lead
  • Expert competency in written and oral communication; stellar presentation skills 

Project Management

  • Management of multiple brands for assigned client or multiple brands across agency
  • Leads teams managing large-scale campaigns in size or complexity
  • Ultimately responsible for the delivery of high-quality campaigns, meeting client needs and business requirements, balancing client and agency needs/goals
  • Reviews team project documentation (scopes of work, change orders, technical requirements)
  • Oversees risk management planning and communications
  • Accountable for master project plan/road map creation and management


  • Oversees/partners with account and finance leads to ensure proper forecasting
  • Partners with account for annual client budget planning
  • Responsible for monitoring run rate and collaborating with resourcing/department leads to ensure the team is staffed to hit forecast
  • Partners with account to recommend/inform client/brand staff plan and routine review/updates, which serves to inform agency staffing

Training/Tool Set

  • Mastery of Ziflow, Workamajig; MS Office Suite (advanced-level Excel)
  • Partners with account during new client onboarding to assess and recommend process efficiencies
  • Management training courses

Client Management/Interaction

  • Partners with account to lead client conversations related to project plans, technical requirements, budgets
  • Serves as primary point of contact for vendors and external/interagency production partners, as needed (eg, if production manager or producer is not assigned to the brand or project)
  • Participates in client brand planning process and meetings


  • Partners with account on launch planning and management, including scenario planning, accelerated approval process (Subpart H/E)
  • Collaborates with PM department lead on agency initiatives
  • Collaborates with interagency resource managers
  • Partners with creative and account leads to ensure team success and financial health of brand(s)
  • Ensures brand alignment across all departments


  • Provides mentorship, training, and skill development to brand staff
  • Collaborates with PM department lead to host/present PM capability meetings
  • Staff mentorship and/or management of PMs attached to assigned brands
  • Larger brands may have multiple tiers of direct reports and may only need to mentor/manage SPMs
  • Smaller brands may require mentorship/management of all PMs
  • May be responsible for conducting biannual reviews and goal road-mapping of direct reports
  • Understands team needs and offers training recommendations/workshops

Business Development

  • Actively participates in new business pitches, whether managing workflow or creating content (eg, process documentation, ballpark timelines/schedules)
  • Assesses requirements and assumptions and provides recommendations for tactics
  • Understands multichannel campaigns and strategies

Channel Expertise

  • Acts as an internal/external resource on multichannel best practices
