Fingerpaint is looking for an experienced Data Engineering Lead to join our growing Marketing Technology team. This person will utilize their leadership skills and expertise in engineering, analysis, and database skills to enable data-driven marketing campaigns.

 

Core Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with internal teams to produce high-quality, forward-thinking data solutions that achieve client brand objectives
  • Architect, build, and maintain campaign data warehouses, data connectivity solutions, and support for day-to-day data analysis needs
  • Lead, mentor, and cultivate the members of the data engineering team
  • Ensure the quality and integrity of campaign data

What it Takes:

  • 10+ years of experience in data engineering and analysis in a digital marketing agency or similar organization
  • 5+ years of experience managing, growing, and inspiring a team of direct reports
  • Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of data management best practices and principles, software development lifecycle, and Agile/Scrum methodology
  • Core skills
    • Query building in PostgreSQL, SQL Server, or similar
    • Managing data pipelines using AWS Lambda, Glue, Fivetran, or similar tools
    • Administering database instances on Snowflake, RedShift, RDS
    • Designing and consuming REST API’s
  • Proficiency in data science tools and techniques, including Python/R, Node.js
  • Proficiency with one or more diagram tools, e.g. Omnigraffle, Lucidchart
  • Knowledge of data documentation methodologies for managing data models
  • Understanding of cloud-based serverless architectures, networking principles, HTTP protocol
  • Versed in business intelligence and data visualization tools, e.g. Tableau, Google Data Studio
  • Working knowledge of statistics and common digital marketing principles and metrics
  • Exposure to applications of machine learning in digital marketing
  • An analytical mind capable of creative problem-solving
  • Passion for staying current on new technology advancements and analytical trends
  • Ability to prioritize multiple tasks within tight deadlines while delivering high quality work
  • Articulate, detail-oriented communication skills
  • A sense of humor and collaborative approach

 

Bonus Points:

  • Digital marketing agency or pharma industry experience
  • Certification in AWS and/or Snowflake
  • Experience with Fivetran and/or dbt
  • Experience implementing machine learning training/inference pipelines
