Associate Director, Paid Search

What it takes:

  • Deep expertise in paid search campaign strategy, management, analysis, and optimization for pharmaceutical, healthcare, and health & wellness clients to ensure search campaigns across Google, Bing, YouTube, and other biddable search-based platforms are aligned with business goals, strategic imperatives, and media objectives
  • Oversees and strategically contributes to targeting, keyword research, ad copy development, landing page assignments, and KPIs/measurement objectives with consideration for campaign outcomes beyond the click, such as deep content engagement and Rx conversion
  • Oversees the analysis of performance data and development of weekly, monthly, and quarterly analytics reports, including performance insights and optimization recommendations, and develops actionable insights that maximize engagement and conversion opportunities
  • Oversee the bid management, analysis and optimization of daily budgets, campaign performance, click and conversion rates, ROI, etc.
  • Proactively identify opportunities for optimization and expansion, and see through to implementation
  • Serve as the main point of contact for client relationships
  • Collaborates with media, digital/engagement strategy, medical strategy, creative, and account teams to establish and evolve search capability offerings, strategies, and processes
  • Trains, manages, and mentors junior team members to establish knowledge of search processes and best practices, and to ensure client deliverables are completed accurately and on time
  • Work with direct reports and operations teams to develop scopes and staff plans, and maintains responsibility for team utilization, deadlines, and pacing
  • Passion for data-driven marketing and the healthcare space, staying up to date on the latest trends and best practices in paid search and other relevant digital channels and establishing and growing vendor relationships
  • Thought leadership through the development of search POVs and case studies based on campaign performance/optimizations and industry updates/trends for distribution throughout the agency and to clients

 

Know-how:

  • 5+ years of hands-on management of paid search accounts 
  • Certification in Google Ads and Microsoft (Bing) Advertising
  • Experience in working with pharmaceutical, healthcare, and/or health & wellness clients
  • Proficient understanding of Excel functions (ie. VLook-up, Pivot Table, chart building) and PowerPoint
  • Strong understanding of paid search tools, processes, techniques, etc. 
  • Strong organization and written/oral communication skills, including proven experience articulating findings
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, rapidly changing environment
  • Exceptional analytical ability and critical thinking skills
  • Good to advanced skill level with Excel
  • Hands-on experience with analytics, e.g. Google Analytics, etc.
  • Experience with SEO is a plus
  • Management experience
  • Knowledge of Tableau, Google Data Studio, or other data visualization tools is a plus
