Job Overview: As the Associate Brand Strategist, you will play a key role in collaborating with lead strategists and cross-discipline partners within fingerpaint to provide strategic support across a range of dynamic and growing accounts. In addition, you will be tasked with contributing to new business opportunities working alongside and in support of the lead Brand Strategist. By actively gathering, tracking and reporting pertinent information and activities, you will gain a deep understanding of various therapeutic areas, category and competitive landscapes, clients’ brands and businesses, the motivations of their customers and the implications of trends within their industry. As a “resident-expert”, you will be invited to participate in collaborative working sessions with cross-discipline partners to represent the insights and information you gained from your extensive research efforts. Day to Day Responsibilities:

· Collaborate with/support lead Brand Strategists in the research, analysis and strategic formulation that contributes to development of creative briefs and strategic initiatives

· Monitor and report category and competitor developments/activities for clients’ brands

· Track and report emerging cultural, technological and sociological trends

· Participate in internal brainstorm and strategic and tactical planning discussions contributing category, customer, competitor, cultural knowledge and insights

· Assist with the development of client workshops, presentations and working sessions to present market insights/opportunities, define brand and commercial strategies and present strategic recommendations

· Participate in market research, shaping discussion guides, taking notes and preparing research reports

· Provide departmental support such as helping with creating research stimulus materials, coordinating meetings with other agency departments/clients, drafting awards submissions, and taking on ad hoc assignments

Qualifications:

· 1-2 years industry experience in marketing, market research, digital strategy, brand strategy and/or strategic planning

· Curious – seeks knowledge and insight, asks why, challenges conventions

· Dependable – resourceful, respectful, ready to jump in and help out

· Smart – deals well with ambiguity, strong problem-solving and analytical skills

· Agile - can manage multiple projects and priorities staying on top of team tasks, client strategic objectives and roadmap deliverables/deadlines

· Driven - a self-starter with good time management skills, and attention to detail

· Bullet-proof – does the research, knows the facts, prepares compelling presentations
