We are seeking a business development associate to support our business development team. This individual will work with our business development team to process, track, and report all incoming and cross-company new business opportunities. This individual will also support all of our offices in capabilities presentations and new business pitches. To excel in this role, this individual should be eager to learn, be an active listener, have an outgoing personality, have a hunger to chase and close new business, and enjoy creating and building relationships.

Responsibilities and focus

  • Under supervision of the business D=development team: 
    1. Conduct research on trends in health, wellness, and scientific discovery to identify new markets to explore
    2. Research existing and potential client pipelines to identify new business opportunities
    3. Maintain and update Workamajig database to track clients, new business, internal and external opportunities, decisions and outcomes, and other metrics as identified by business development team
    4. Facilitate the creation and maintenance of business development core materials, including capabilities, case studies, client references, etc. Assumes the creation of materials will be driven in combination with creative and business development teams
  • Establish and maintain productive relationships across all Fingerpaint companies and offices via email, phone, Slack, and in person as appropriate
  • Assists lead project managers in respective offices with coordination and facilitation of creative submissions for industry creative shows/events 
  • Coordinates and arranges client events, meetings, appointments, and conferences

 

What it takes

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, data science, or a related field
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience in sales or marketing; ideally 2 to 3 years of pharma industry experience as an analyst or in project management and/or account service at an agency, consultancy, or pharmaceutical/device company
  • Excellent database/data management skills
  • Strategic thinker with business acumen
