Congratulations to Ashleigh Nolan for hitting the five-year mark at Fingerpaint! Ashleigh, who is part of our account service team in Saratoga Springs, began her Fingerpaint journey as an intern while earning her master’s degree in health communications. Ashleigh says that growing up with three older brothers made her “one tough cookie.” A cookie we’re very thankful to have at Fingerpaint.
Ashleigh recently reflected on some fond memories from the past five years.
Name: Ashleigh Nolan
Role: Account Service
What do you remember about your first day at Fingerpaint?
I started as an intern and I remember sitting at a card table in the old building next to Ed Mitzen. I loved the fact that the CEO didn’t have his own enclosed office and he didn’t care where he sat. We were growing so quickly that we had to start using makeshift cubicles.
What do you like most about the entire agency?
The people! So many great personalities.
What advice would you give yourself/someone entering the industry?
You need to be able to roll with the punches and have thick skin.
What has been your favorite philanthropic initiative at Fingerpaint so far?
The Supermarket Challenge where we broke into teams, went speed grocery shopping, and donated the groceries. I grew up watching “Supermarket Sweep” and it reminded me of that, but it was double rewarding since we were doing it for a good cause. Bo, the head of philanthropy, is great at coming up with fun ideas that involve the whole office.
What are you hoping to see happen at Fingerpaint? (Trampoline in the parking lot, four-day work weeks, etc. – any ideas are welcome.)
Rooftop deck for sure.
What are you going to do on your sabbatical?
I am going to Iceland for a week, spending time with my little nephew who lives in San Francisco, and enjoying some downtime with family and friends.
How often do you raid the beer keg/liquor cabinet?
Keg – never; liquor cabinet – sometimes on Fridays for some Titos and soda.
Who’s your favorite office dog? Why?
There are so many good ones. I don’t think I can pick just one!
For your caffeine fix: Saratoga Coffee Traders or Uncommon Grounds?
