Name: Alison Frost

Office: Phoenix

Team: Film and Entertainment

How did you spend your sabbatical?

With family, friends, and just having some fun. I did a lot of things around my house that had been pushed aside—all those things you just never get to for one reason or another. I did, however, make some large purchases and bought new appliances. Who knew there was now an app for washers and dryers? (Unless it’s taking the dirty clothes from the laundry and putting them in the washing machine, don’t think I need/want it.)

Of everything you did while on sabbatical, what was your favorite activity and why?

Having the opportunity to do anything, everything, or nothing at all. Just enjoying the ability to take advantage of various impromptu activities that came up.

What do you remember about your first day at Fingerpaint?

We onboarded as a team in Saratoga, which was a lot of fun! We had the chance to go back to the Saratoga office, and it was a great way to be able to learn firsthand and embrace the Fingerpaint culture. We listened to Ed speak passionately about the company, the people, and his appreciation for everything the team does. We also participated in a philanthropy event. I was lucky enough to be on Ed’s team, which gave me an opportunity to see firsthand his commitment to giving back. Fingerpaint threw a great holiday party, which was a wonderful way to spend some time with all our new coworkers. Personally, I love the winter and snow (having originally been an East Coast girl), and Saratoga was just beautiful in the winter!

What do you like most about the entire agency?

Fingerpaint’s commitment to putting people first. It’s not just something that is said—it’s very tangible. From full health insurance coverage to a generous time-off policy, including sabbaticals, to closing offices down across the country to participate in a daylong Thrive seminar, we’re continuously shown why we are lucky to work here.

What advice would you give yourself/someone entering the industry?

One of my favorite sayings is “Do something every day that scares you.” I don’t always do it, but my advice is to take a chance—there is no such thing as a bad idea.

What’s your take on Fingerpaint’s commitment to philanthropy?

Love it! I love that Fingerpaint makes philanthropy a priority in all their markets. How many companies have a dedicated employee for philanthropy and let their people contribute even during work hours?

What’s your favorite office snack?

I’m a caffeine junkie, so I love our coffee machine that’s almost as good as a Starbuck’s barista.

Where’s your favorite place in AZ to unplug (eg, hiking trail, wine bar, day trip spot, golf course)?

Phoenix/Scottsdale is home to some of the best resorts and spas. A few hours at one of our many spas is a great way to unwind and unplug. Also, as a member of the film and entertainment team, a good movie at the theatre is also a perfect way to step out of the day-to-day.
